Mid-Sock Blues

I've been knitting on Rick nonstop. Literally. It seems like all I do is knit across the red expanse while I listen to A Thousand Acres, creating ribs and vanishing them and getting unreasonably excited every time I get to row 2 on the chart, where the ribby section starts and ends with a k2. Then I go downstairs, watch TV, and knit some more. I'm one 4-row repeat away from starting the heel flap, but I needed a fun fast project to give me a break.

And in came Brattleboro.
I CO today with my City Tweed HW in Jacquard, and I'm already a third of the way done after two episodes of "How I Met Your Mother". I've been lusting after this hat for 16 months, and I've had the yarn for 9, so it's about time! I'm going to use the FABULOUS wooden buttons I bought at the Merc a few months back, and it's going to be leg-en-dary.
