I've finished the heel turn on Rick and done the first couple of instep rows, so I'm going to work on poor neglected Vivian for the rest of the month. The body is done through the waist decreases and both sleeves are done up to where they join the yoke, but I want to have this done by the end of February so I can wear it, so my goal is to get the body up to the arms before the end of the month. Here I go!

An Old Friend...

Mid-Sock Blues
I've been knitting on Rick nonstop. Literally. It seems like all I do is knit across the red expanse while I listen to A Thousand Acres, creating ribs and vanishing them and getting unreasonably excited every time I get to row 2 on the chart, where the ribby section starts and ends with a k2. Then I go downstairs, watch TV, and knit some more. I'm one 4-row repeat away from starting the heel flap, but I needed a fun fast project to give me a break.And in came Brattleboro.
I CO today with my City Tweed HW in Jacquard, and I'm already a third of the way done after two episodes of "How I Met Your Mother". I've been lusting after this hat for 16 months, and I've had the yarn for 9, so it's about time! I'm going to use the FABULOUS wooden buttons I bought at the Merc a few months back, and it's going to be leg-en-dary.

Another FO!
The Looking Glass Raha Scarf is done now... I just have to weave in the ends and block it. I was going to give it to my friend, but I might just keep it! We'll see....
I added one repeat to the pattern, and ended up only having two feet of yarn leftover! Add 50 more grams to the running total... It might be slow progress, but it's progress nonetheless!

...and a new project!
After I finished Eunice, I cast on Rick in my snappy bright red Knit Picks Gloss. This picture shows the cuffs and the first repeat of the pattern - easy to memorize, but slow to knit!
Project #1 Finished!
I finished Jenna's pair of Eunice socks last night, making it the first FO of 2012! 62 grams of Muscadine Sock in Shiraz that I won as a prize in the Knit Sock Love KAL.
